On A Rising Tide was the first book I published. It is historical fiction about Wilmington, North Carolina, and blockade-running during the Civil War. A blockade runner captain has a perilous journey running through the Federal blockade and falls in love with his shipping agent’s daughter. Her father is against their relationship because sailors are notorious womanizers. In the meantime he runs the blockade and becomes involved in the battles of Fort Fisher. The story also has romance, a serial murder, spies and battles on land and sea.

In
the 17th century Port Royal became a den of pirates and thieves. It more
than earned its reputation as “The Wickedest City On Earth.” Over 300
pirate crews called Port Royal home. These privateers used the island as
a fortress from which to attack the Spanish Fleets. On June 7, 1692, a
catastrophic earthquake caused the city to sink into the sea, killing
more than three-quarters of its population.
When present day underwater archeologist Mike Ryan recovers a gold
pocket watch from the sunken city of Port Royal, Jamaica, people begin
dying. A demonic spirit that was trapped inside the watch since 1692 has
escaped and must be stopped. Time is critical as he races to unravel the
mystery surrounding the watch before anyone else is killed.
